Am I a Maverick?
A Maverick is a description for an unorthodox or independent minded person often behaving differently from the expected or usual way. Someone who has the strength and courage to question the norm and move away from the pack. I take a fresh approach to being creative, independent and a self-starter.
1990: I launched Prime Objectives, Training and Consulting.
Decision
Prime I felt I was in the Prime of my life at 50 with an established career path in corporate life. Objectives meant my focus would be to help provide customised solutions across a wide spectrum of business both private & public sectors.
What exactly do you do? “I help people to sort things.”
How to be Found Google Business Profile Categories
As of March 6th 2025, there are 4051 to choose from. In order ‘to be found’ I am told I need to choose which label will define what I do. It seems, in my case that it would have to be Consultant providing expert advice professionally to an organisation or individual.

I can blow my own trumpet, but that’s my own PR & Marketing blurb, although it is common practice to indulge in self-promoting. The risk of selecting an unknown supplier is negated when my services are personally recommended by someone’s trusted business colleague.

Stagnation or Growth?
Stagnation
I don’t lull myself into the belief and false security that I can preserve the ‘Status Quo’ of my existing state of affairs. This would result in there is no change and by staying the same my life would not expand and grow. It would be a countdown to my final exit from this life.
Growth
Personal growth means a continuous journey of self-discovery and improvement.
However, when it comes to making important decisions, I do find it useful to consider these various approaches/options.

Heuristic
Means discovering rules through experience to aid thinking, like trial and error. It’s an automatic behaviour ensuring survival by following traditional, accepted rules, beliefs, or practices.

Algorithm
An algorithm is a predetermined set of rules followed in order to complete a task. I find it unsettling to be confined by predefined parameters that override or disregard my personal input.

Heterodox
Heterodox involves actively challenging or opposing accepted doctrines. It is an approach that is an unorthodox and comes naturally to me.

Reflection Time
2024: LOOKING BACK
I had an action packed year spent fulfilling the three top priorities listed on my Bucket List. I was in my element and loved dealing with the various challenges. Read about my travels here in my 3 part blog mini-series.
I had established clearly defined risk factors and uncertainty about the implications of taking the next step out into the unknown future.
2025: LOOKING FORWARD
Life Changing Decision? I decided to step way outside my Comfort Zone in 2025. I would surrender my need for control and allow the Universe to guide me into a new way of being. It was a scary decision. However, it has been a marvellous exciting experience as new opportunities have already come my way that I would never have dreamt of.
